Maine Man Found Dead Before NH Trial Begins

 

BRIDGTON, Maine — Police in Bridgton said Tuesday they were investigating the death of Roger Goode.   He was found dead on Monday.Goode, 65, was arrested in the parking lot at the Hampstead, N.H. post office in January 2009,  where police said he was waiting to meet a 14-year-old girl for the purpose of engaging in sexual activity.  In May 2010, a grand jury indicted Goode on five counts of aggravated felonious sexual assault, four counts of felonious sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child.   The Union Leader reported his trial was set to begin this week.Bridgton police would not say if Goode’s death was suspicious.
